Lee was absolutely fantastic. A lovely guy and fantastic musician. Very personable, happy to chat with guests when they bothered him, nice and smiley and just played absolutely the right sort of music for the occasion. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him!

Everyone at the wedding was really impressed with Lee’s piano playing. The background music that Lee played was absolutely perfect in what was a perfect day in all. Lee gave us a choice of music before the wedding, and it was played absolutely beautifully. You can tell that Lee really loves what he does, and I know I shouldn’t be saying it, but I’m sure Lee played a lot longer then the 90mins we requested, which was a delight for us and our guests. Thank you Lee, we would thoroughly recommend Lee to anyone else!

“I wanted to say how fantastic Phil Short was playing at our wedding. We had a small
gathering in our garden and wanted some bespoke back ground music. Phil was perfect,
he played songs we picked and learnt a couple of tunes for us too. He has a lovely voice
and is an accomplished guitarist. I would recommend Phil ten times over!”

This was a joyous concert with lots of interaction and great choice of repertoire from rock’n’roll to the present day, which worked very well for the audience. They took the trouble to check who they would be performing to in advance and chose a very appropriate set. They kept the concert moving along swiftly and there was time for banter with some of the audience who were obviously engaged in the performance. Including several medleys allowed you to include a lot of songs, so kept lots of moments of recognition coming. Using PA may not be appropriate in all settings but it worked well in this room, and perhaps, along with your dressed up appearance, helped give the sense of occasion. We talked at the end about Dee leading some clapping actions – which only didn’t happen due to a broken mic stand and you would normally do this. You learned everyone’s names which was impressive! Feedback from the audience and staff was very positive. Thank you for an entertaining afternoon!

The Bloomfield Duo were simply excellent! Hired them to perform in a small marquee for my Mum’s 75th birthday. Despite the pouring rain and enduring the cold of the Northumbrian summer, Paul and Dee did us proud. They put together a fantastic and varied set to take into account the different age groups and everyone loved it. They had us all singing and dancing too! Prior to the event they had asked me for any specific songs that my family would like and then performed them, which was brilliant! They even learned a special song for my wife and I, very much appreciated and Christy Moore would be impressed! Their banter and general chat with the audience was funny and got us all going. Every one of my family and guests commented how great they thought Paul and Dee were. The sound quality was perfect and Dee’s singing and Paul’s guitar playing were spot on! I would have no hesitation on booking them again. So why not book them, you’ll love them. They are two wonderful people too! Thanks for making my Mum’s 75th Birthday an evening to remember, she has not stopped talking about it, best day of her life, she said! Thanks Dee and Paul, hope to see you again and thanks for “the reel in the flickering light”! 

Our guests really enjoyed the songs of Paul & Dee. They had a great rapport with their audience, and created a relaxed and fun atmosphere with their songs. We found them to be totally professional when we made enquiries and arranged the booking, and punctual and organised when they arrived on the night. I saw these guys performing at the Travs in Sunniside on 8th June and was totally impressed along with very appreciative audience who gave the best of order, the like of which I’ve not witnessed in a pub for a long time. With Zoe’s vocal and Ken’s perfectionist guitar accompanying they had the perfect blend for a laid back couple of sets that would suit any bar/bistro/restaurant. Popular songs through the decades through to modern classics, Quirky Chords has got it covered. Book them while you can before everyone finds this little gem of a duo and fills their diary.
