Stephen J. Mordue, one of the musicians on Need Music’s roster, is passionate about working with people dementia and exploring the benefits of music and the arts for people with this condition.
He worked as a social worker in the North East for 12 years, primarily with older people with dementia and their families.
He now lectures in social work at Sunderland University where his focus is on communication skills and maintaining inclusion for vulnerable adults.
He also has over 25 years of experience as a musician. Stephen is supporting and advising Need Music on developing this important area of our work.
